Coronavirus Update In Ottawa

Current worldwide fears about coronavirus (COVID-19) have resulted in schools closing down, stock markets declining, and businesses either working remotely or temporarily closing their doors. Here is what our team is doing in response to the situation at hand, including how we’re interacting with clients and where we can help.

Fuelled Networks has created an internal policy around the following areas…

  • Hand washing and hygiene within the office and at client sites
  • Onsite service and meetings
  • Reporting
  • Business travel
  • Personal travel outside of the country

For the foreseeable future, we are handling client service and meetings remotely rather than onsite. If an emergency requiring onsite service occurs, we would appreciate clients following the guidelines below for our safety and yours:

  • Provide information about employees who have traveled out of the country/interacted with individuals traveling outside of the country.
  • Provide information about employees showing symptoms as described by the World Health Organization (WHO).
  • Provide disinfectant sheets to clean all equipment and surrounding areas, as well as hand sanitizer for our employees to use while onsite.
  • Maintain a minimum of 6-feet of distance between your employees and our employees while we’re onsite.

Fuelled Networks strongly encourages businesses to adopt a remote workforce…

  1. Do you have a plan in the event of a full shutdown of your operations? How will your employees continue to work?
  2. What’s the plan in the event that key members of your team are forced into a quarantine situation?
  3. Have you addressed the cybersecurity requirements for individuals who may be forced to work from home?

If you are shutting down and asking employees to work from home, Fuelled Networks can help devise a plan to access resources securely. Please call to engage a team member with this requirement. While experts are cautioning against panic, the number of cases continues to rise. Businesses are advised to review any plans and strategies that allow for social distancing – meaning the time is now to enable your employees to work from home.

It’s not the time to panic, but it is time to prepare for remote work. Get in touch with us now at (613) 828-1280 to review your options.
