Coffee Break With Fuelled: Your Microsoft Teams Introduction

Users across the country and around the world are harnessing Microsoft Teams to connect with staff members, clients, and other business contacts. Are you looking for a better way to stay in touch while working remotely?

At this point in the COVID-19 pandemic, you should have a collaboration solution you rely on in place for your business. But if you’re still looking for an effective way to meet with remote contacts, you should consider Microsoft Teams.

An Introduction To Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams allows you to schedule and join online video meetings with HD video, VoIP, and dial-in audio conferencing options. It provides uses with a dedicated phone number for placing and receiving domestic and international phone calls, with advanced features including voicemail, transfer, delegation, and emergency calling.

There are many features offered by Microsoft Teams, which we will explore in future episodes of Coffee Break With Fuelled. In this first video, we provide an overview of the features included in Teams:

  • Activity: This is your news feed for recent activity on your account.
  • Chat: This is your most direct way to get in touch with team members. Use this function to send a quick message.
  • Teams: These are the channels for different groups you interact with, allowing you to chat and share files. You may have one for sales and another for marketing, or even separate teams for different ongoing projects.
  • Meetings: This tab allows you to schedule or join video meetings. Whether you have 10 team members or 10,000 team members – they can all meet in one place, no matter where they’re located.
  • Call: This tab is specifically for audio calls, as opposed to Teams’ other communication functions like Chat and Meetings.
  • Files: All recent files shared with you and accessed by you in the Microsoft 365 suite of applications can be found here.

Make sure to keep an eye out for future episodes of Coffee Break With Fuelled, in which we’ll further explore each Microsoft Teams feature in greater detail as well as some of the other products we leverage daily.
